Karisma Kapoor is an Indian actress. She was born on June 25, 1974 at Mumbai, India. Her parents are Randhir Kapoor, an actor and actress Babita. She is the grand daughter of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor. Karishma is sister of actress Kareena Kapoor. She studied at the Cathedral and John Connon School, and later studied in Sophia College.
Karishma married industrialist Sunjay Kapur On 29 September 2003, CEO of Sixt India. The couple had a daughter and son.

Karishma Kapoor debut in the 1991 movie Prem Qaidi, Produced by D. Rama Naidu, The story is based on a Telugu movie Prema Kaidi. In 1992, Karishma played a role in the movie Jigar the movie got hit.
She was featured in many other commercially successful films like Jigar, Anari, Raja Babu, Suhaag, Coolie No. 1, Gopi Kishan, Saajan Chale and Sasural & Jeet. In 1996, she starred in Raja Hindustani, which became her greatest commercial success. For her performance, she received her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She also starred in David Dhawans comedy flick Biwi No.1 opposite Salman Khan followed by Haseena Maan Jaayegi. Both the films did fairly well on the box office.
