Arvind Swamy is an Indian film actor, he mainly works in Tamil cinema. He was born on June 30, 1967 at Thanjavur. His father is V.D Swamyand mother Vasantha Swamy. Arvind Swamy married Gayathri Ramamurthy in 1994, the pair having one daughter Adhira Swamy and one son Rudhra Swamy, The pair divorced in 2010, Then he married Aparna Mukherjee in 2012.

Acting Entry

Arvind Swamy made his debut in Mani Ratnam film, Thalapathi in 1991. Later Mani Ratnam signed him on to play the lead role in the 1992 political drama film Roja. Then he acted in another Mani Rathnam film Bombay. Roja and Bombay movies won awards at the State and National Film Award.

Film Career

Arvind starred in Rajiv Menons Minsaara Kanavu, it won four National Film Awards. He stopped acting 4 to 5 years, because he physically injured. The treatment took another 4 to 5 years. After his successful treatment, Mani Ratnam called him once more to play a role in one of his films, Kadal (2013).
