Acting Entry

Akshay first acted in a Un creditable role as a martial arts instructor in 1987, movie is Aaj. His first Debut lead role is in Saugandh opposite Raakhee and Shantipriya. In 1994 he acted in his first action film Main Khiladi Tu Anari and then Mohra which were the grossing films of the year. The Yash Chopras film Yeah Dillagi which again a huge success. He recived his first nominations for Best Actor award at the Filmfare and Star Screen ceremonies.

Film Career

In 1994 Akshay made another two films Suhaag and Elaan which was a success. He was then declared as one of the most successful actors of that year. In 2004 Kumar starred in Rajkumar Santoshis action drama thriller Khakee alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Aishwarya Rai.

He starred alongside Salman Khan and Preity Zinta in film Jaan-E-Mann. in 2007 almost his films are hits, Namastey London, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Welcome. Though his much-hyped film, Tashan failed to do well in 2008, Singh is Kinng did exceptionally well in India and overseas. Akshay has also become a producer. In 2012, he was acted in Joker, which flopped at the box office. And Khiladi 786 was counted as​ an​ average at the box office. O.M.G​ ​- Oh My God was declared a blockbuster movie at the box office.
