Kamalinee Mukherjee is an Indian actress, she mainly appeared in Telugu films as well as Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali and Kannada. She was born on March 4, 1980 at Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Kamalinee father is a marine engineer, her mother is a jewellery designer. She has two siblings. She completed degree in English literature from Loreto College in Kolkata

Kamalini starts career with theater plays and modeled in advertisements. She modeled for brands as Neelkamal Furniture, Parachute, Fair & Lovely and Ayush. While acting in advertisements, actor-director Revathi offered a role in her directorial movie, Phir Milenge(Hindi). Later Sekhar Kammula, a director from the Telugu film industry gives the lead role for the movie Anand. For this movie she got Nadi Award for Best actress.

Film Career

her next film was Meenakshi in 2005. In 2006 she appeared in two Telugu language films Style and Godavari and a Tamil language film, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. She appeared in Kutty Srank directed by award-winning director, Shaji N. Karun and starring Mammooty. The film got the national awards, winning in six categories including Best Film.

she also appeared in K Raghavendra Raos devotional film Shirdi Sai with Nagarjuna. Her next project was in new-age Malayalam director, VK Prakashs Natholi Cheriya Meenalla, where she played a character opposite Fahad Faasil.
