Anushka Shetty is an actress in Telugu and Tamil. She was born on November 7th, 1981 at Mangalore, Karnataka. Anushka's parents are K.N.Vittal Shetty, Uramale Prafulla. She has two siblings, those are Sai Ramesh and Gunaranjan. Anushka Shetty completed her schooling from Eastwood High School, Bangalore.She did her Bachelor of Computer Applications at Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. After completing graduation in Computer Applications, she learned yoga. She entered in industry in 2005. Anushka was also a yoga instructor and has trained under Yoga Guru 'Bharat Thakur. Her debut in Tollywood is Puri Jagannath's 2005 Telugu film 'Super' along side 'Akkineni Nagarjuna'.

Akushka Shetty entered in Tollywood with the movie 'super' in 2005 directed by 'Puri Jagannath', In this movie she plays a supporting role, same year, she acted in another film 'Mahanandi'. In 2006 she acted in S. S. Rajamouli's 'Vikramarkudu' paired with 'Raviteja', It was blockbuster hit, She also a sensational actress in tollywood. She debuted in the Tamil film industry acting in the Sundar directed action flick 'Rendu' in 2006.

Film Career

In 2007 she was acted in 'Lakshyam' which was a success in box office, after that she starred in Raghava Lawrence's 'Don' Co-star is 'Nagarjuna'. Anushka appeared in the film 'Souryam' with Gopichand which became a box office hit. In 2009, Anushka starred in the blockbuster hit, the fantasy film 'Arundhati'. In this heroine-oriented film, she essayed two roles for the first time. It was a critical as well as commercial success. She won the 'Nandi Special Jury Award' and the 'Filmfare Best Actress Award' for 'Arundathi'. In 2010 anthology film 'Vedam', winning accolades for her performance, including her second consecutive Filmfare Award. Anushka presently acted in Gunashekar's bilingual 'Rani Rudrama Devi', in which she portrays the titular role of Kakatiya dynasty queen Rudrama Devi, and S. S. Rajamouli's trilingual 'Baahubali', which is reported to be the most costliest Telugu film.
